French tourism set to boom

Investing in a French property is becoming more and more attractive to savvy buyers after it was revealed that tourism officials have "gone on the charm offensive".

In recent months, huge efforts have been put into attracting tourists to the country and particularly to foreigners that may not have previously considered a holiday there.

This is good news for families who have a holiday home in France as they will be able to rent it out with ease for the months which it is vacant. Tourists from miles around charmed by France

Efforts to attract tourists have included officials heading to Tokyo where an event was held encouraging Japanese holiday makers to see the sights of France.

Bernard Morel, director general of the Nice Convention and Visitors Bureau, said that Nice and the French Riviera ranked closely behind Paris as a popular tourist spot and that it welcomed visitors from all over the world.

He added that while the city is renowned as a beach resort, it also has plenty of other activities and tourist attractions on offer.

Good news for investors as Middle East tourists targeted

Also being targeted are tourists from the Middle East, who are being given the opportunity to experience what a trip to France may be like in the France Travel Road Show.

The exhibition plans to travel through Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan in an effort to show the attractions of France to people that may have never experienced them before.

International Living magazine was recently reported to have named France the country with the best quality of life in the world.
